Kiyoshi Masunaga

Kiyoshi Masunaga was born on May 22, 1917, and was killed in action in Italy on January 9, 1944, shortly before the 100th took the three mountains overlooking the town of Cassino. He was a private first class in B company of the 100th Infantry Battalion.

He was buried in the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific Honolulu, Oahu, Hawaii on July 22, 1949, in plot D 180.

One of his younger brothers, Hachiro Masuanaga (born on March 6, 1922, died September 24th, 1999), was buried on October 1st, 1999 in plot S 0 479-A of the same cemetery.
